Euthymol Toothpaste US Guide: Fluoride, Taste, Where to Buy
Euthymol toothpaste in the US is a pink, strong-flavored paste made by LG Household & Health Care and sold on Amazon and on LG Beauty’s own store. The Original tube is fluoride-free. The Whitening and Purple Corrector tubes contain 0.243% sodium fluoride, so the fluoride answer depends on the tube you pick.

The US Original also uses a different cleaning base from the UK tube, and its taste is the trait that splits buyers.
Enamelly did not test these tubes. Everything below comes from Amazon and LG Beauty listings, FDA drug labels on DailyMed, the federal anticaries rule and press coverage, all read on 10 October 2026. What is Euthymol toothpaste in the US?
Euthymol is a British brand that dates to 1898. LG Household & Health Care, a South Korean company, bought the business from Johnson & Johnson at the end of 2020, according to Maeil Business Newspaper’s English edition.
The same report says combined US and Japan sales jumped 1,600 percent from January to May 2025 against a year earlier, and it names Amazon and TikTok Shop as US sales platforms.
That history explains the confusion. A tube from Boots and a tube from Amazon.com share a name and a pink color, and their labels do not match. Our page on the UK Euthymol formula covers the British side.
Does Euthymol toothpaste have fluoride?
It depends on the tube. The table uses the ingredient panels and DailyMed drug labels, not the marketing bullets.
| US Euthymol toothpaste | Fluoride | Source | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Original Pink | No | LG Beauty ingredient panel and the Amazon title | Strong flavor, fresh-breath focus, buyers who skip fluoride |
| Whitening (pink tube) | Yes, sodium fluoride 0.243% | DailyMed label, LG Household & Health Care | Daily brushing with surface-stain removal |
| Whitening Purple Corrector | Yes, sodium fluoride 0.243% | DailyMed label, LG Household & Health Care | A violet tint that makes yellow teeth look less yellow |
DailyMed holds 17 Euthymol labels. All 17 list sodium fluoride and cover whitening pastes, kits or gift sets. None is the Original.
Some Amazon listings contradict their own labels on fluoride, so trust the Drug Facts panel on the tube. The mismatches are itemized in our whitening guide linked below.
The Original’s Amazon title promises Cavity Prevention on a fluoride-free paste. The federal rule at 21 CFR 355.10 names sodium fluoride, sodium monofluorophosphate and stannous fluoride as the anticaries active ingredients. The Original lists none of them.
The Original’s Amazon title promises cavity prevention, yet neither that listing nor LG Beauty’s page names a study for it. Our page on fluoride-free toothpaste and cavities covers what the research does show.
If you want a fluoride-free paste with published data behind it, read our best fluoride-free toothpaste picks and the comparison of nano-hydroxyapatite and fluoride.
The two fluoride tubes are the pink Whitening and the Purple Corrector. The clinical data and the review split sit in our guide to Euthymol whitening toothpaste, and the best whitening toothpaste roundup compares other brands.
What is in the US Euthymol Original, and how is it different from the UK tube?
The US Original lists dicalcium phosphate dihydrate (DCPD) first, then water, sorbitol and glycerin. That is the panel on LG Beauty’s own product page.
Further down sit flavor (aroma), sodium lauryl sulfate, hydrated silica, titanium dioxide, Red 33 and Yellow 6. No thymol is named.
LG Beauty’s page calls the flavor a strong wintergreen mint, and Amazon’s brand blurb says the name contracts eucalyptus and thymol, the actives of the original formulation. The Original panel only says flavor (aroma), so the label does not confirm which oils are in this tube.
The UK tube reads differently, and our UK page reads its label as a thymol paste on a calcium carbonate base. Wikipedia adds that the brand was reformulated in 2013 under European cosmetics rules and that UK stock is now produced in South Korea.
If you avoid sulfates, the SLS on the panel matters, and our SLS-free toothpaste page lists alternatives. LG Beauty’s Original page publishes no RDA abrasivity figure, so you cannot rank it against pastes that do. The RDA chart shows how those numbers compare.
Is Euthymol toothpaste good? What reviewers say
The Original holds 4.5 stars across 2,946 Amazon ratings. LG Beauty’s own store shows 4.4 across 56 reviews, 40 of them five-star.
Taste divides buyers. One LG Beauty reviewer put it closer to Pepto-Bismol, with a chalky edge, and LG’s page calls it a strong wintergreen mint.
Irritation is the sharper risk. Another LG Beauty reviewer reported swollen, chapped lips and cracks at the corners of the mouth after a week of use.
Enamelly could not read Amazon’s per-topic review summary for the Original, so this page gives no taste or irritation percentages for it. Read the one-star reviews on the listing before you buy.
Buy the Original if you want a medicinal, fresh-breath paste and you accept the flavor risk. If cavity protection is the goal, pick a fluoride tube.
Is Euthymol toothpaste safe?
The Original does not appear among DailyMed’s 17 Euthymol drug labels, so there is no Drug Facts panel to read for it. Check the carton for the manufacturer’s use and warning text.
The whitening labels on DailyMed say to discontinue use immediately if an allergic reaction develops. Every US Euthymol tube lists sodium lauryl sulfate, which some mouths tolerate badly, and the lip report above is the practical risk.
Stop brushing with it if your gums or lips burn. Ask your dentist first if you have sensitive teeth, mouth sores or dental work.
Euthymol toothpaste benefits: what the claims rest on
The one measured claim is breath. LG’s Original page says it suppresses bad breath by 49 percent for 12 hours after use, based on an Ellead test with 20 testers in 2021. That is a small panel and a company-run test.
Beyond that figure, the listings Enamelly read cite no study for the cleaning or enamel claims.
Euthymol vs Marvis: which fluoride-free paste fits you?
Both are fluoride-free on their listings, both carry a strong flavor, and both list sodium lauryl sulfate. They differ in cleaning base, dyes and flavor.
| Listing detail | Euthymol Original (US) | Marvis Classic Strong Mint | Marvis Whitening Mint |
|---|---|---|---|
| Amazon rating | 4.5 stars, 2,946 ratings | 4.5 stars, 7,218 ratings | 4.4 stars, 18,800 ratings |
| Fluoride | None | None, per listing | None, per listing |
| First ingredients | Dicalcium phosphate dihydrate, water, sorbitol | Glycerin, aluminum hydroxide, water | Glycerin, hydrated silica, water |
| Sodium lauryl sulfate | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Colorants listed | Red 33, Yellow 6, titanium dioxide | Titanium dioxide only | Titanium dioxide only |
| Flavor per listing | Strong wintergreen mint on LG Beauty | Intense peppermint | Cold mint |
| Made in | Not checked | Italy | Italy |
| Seller | LG Household Official, shipped by Amazon | Amazon.com | Amazon.com |
Amazon’s review summary for the Classic shows 330 of 402 taste mentions positive, but only 83 of 254 value mentions positive.
Marvis lists fewer dyes. Its Classic listing has a quirk of its own: the active-ingredients field names activated charcoal, bentonite, ginger and licorice, and none of them appear on the ingredient panel beside it.
Pick Marvis if you want a fluoride-free paste without added dyes. Pick the Euthymol Original if the medicinal flavor is the reason you are shopping. Neither lists a cavity-fighting fluoride.
Euthymol mouthwash, breath spray and toothbrush in the US
The Original Mouthwash, 16.9 fl oz, showed 4.3 stars across 86 ratings and read Currently unavailable on 10 October 2026. Its title carries a stray “(Lunar New Year)” tag, so check the bottle before you trust the listing.
The Original Breath Spray listing, 76 ratings at 4.4 stars, was also unavailable on the same day.
The toothbrush is the add-on with real volume: a 6-pack at 4.6 stars across 411 ratings, with Amazon’s Choice badge on the day it was read. The bullets say soft bristles while the spec table says medium firmness. Our guide to soft vs medium bristle toothbrushes explains why that gap matters for enamel.
The pack ships as six green brushes or three green and three pink, chosen at random.
Where to buy Euthymol toothpaste near you in the US
Amazon is the main channel. The Original, Whitening and Purple listings are sold by LG Household Official and shipped by Amazon, so the seller is an LG storefront. LG Beauty also sells the line direct at lgbeauty.com.
I did not verify Target or Costco stock for this guide. If you plan to buy in a warehouse or at a mass retailer, confirm on the retailer’s own site first.
For a physical shelf, LG Beauty’s store locator maps CVS, Ulta and Sephora among its stockists. Its brand menu lists Euthymol next to other LG Beauty brands and the map does not filter by brand, so call ahead before you drive.
